This coffee is a collection of about 600 smallholders. It's grown in volcanic soil, which is ideal for coffee and is dried on raised beds for around 15-20 days. During the harvest, over 300 workers are employed - mostly consisting of family members.
The coffee cherries are harvested and processed by Silinga Kello washing stations within a 5 to 10 km radius of their farms.
